The Staatskapelle Berlin is renowned German orchestra which can trace its origins back to the 1500s and is the orchestra of the Berlin State Opera (Berliner Staatsoper Unter den Linden).

Over the years, the orchestra has premiered works by Richard Wagner, Felix Mendelssohn and Otto Nicolai.
