Jabberwocky [Petersham Playhouse]

All has been well in Cornbury Park since the early 1800's. But lately a dark shadow has fallen over this small corner of Oxfordshire. For weeks now a strange and hideous beast, with the leathery wings of a pterodactyl, the body of a dragon and a scaly fishlike head has been terrorising the land. Destroying corps, consuming wildlife and terrorising local townsfolk the population has been rendered utterly paralysed. Too scared to leave the safety of their homes, no one knows where it has come from or what manner of creature it is. Only that they refer to it as "The Jabberwock".
Few have attempted to slay the beast. And none have returned. Until now...

Extending their run from Wilderness Festival, Petersham Playhouse invites you to set out on a magical quest through The Tugley Woods. Help an unlikely hero slay the legendary Jabbawocky and restore peace to the land. On your journey you may chance upon all manner of music, theatre, music, dance, illusion and the amzing puppetry of Samuel Wyer and Smoking Apples.

Inspired by the classic poem by Lewis Carroll enter a Wonderland that once seen is never forgotten.
