Based on a true story, Glasgow Girls is a musical telling the story of seven teenage girls from Glasgow who led one of the most powerful human rights campaigns to capture the imagination of the media and unite a community behind its residents in 2005.
Driven by a fierce sense of injustice, the girls campaign for the rights of children of asylum seekers and succeed where adults and politicians failed.
Glasgow Girls was conceived and directed by Cora Bissett - director of the Olivier award-winning production Roadkill. The show features original songs including electronic grime from Patricia Panther, reggae-dub from Sumati Bhardwaj (Soom T) folk rock from Cora Bissett and additional songs from John Kielty.
