"Little Bentley Hall Gardens just outside Colchester are said to be one of the finest private gardens in East Anglia. Home to the Palmer-Tomkinson's these gardens now only open for this event once every three years, so it's a unique opportunity to visit and view the gardens, which include a Lake and ancient stew ponds which have been extensively planted with water-loving plants.

The 2013 event will feature gardening and cookery talks and demonstrations, including talks from BBC Gardening Presenter Steve Brookes. In addition to this, there will be show gardens, a fine art show a silent auction running throughout the weekend. There will be over 80 Garden & Gift stalls, and hot & cold food available all weekend. There will also be the famous Little Bentley Afternoon Tea Garden to enjoy.

The event is run in aid of local charities. These include ABF the Soldiers Charity, Essex Red Cross, Canine Partners, local church, YFC and Rotary Charities."
