"Frederick Ashton's Méditation from Thaïs is set to the flowing melodies of the Méditation religieuse from Jules Massenet's opera Thaïs (1894). Ashton complements the ethereal and romantic mood of the music with a lyrical love duet. A pas de deux for two soloists perfectly matches the evocative sounds of Jules Massenet's Méditation religieuse."
