British Basketball League team from Newcastle upon Tyne formed in 1976, as EPAB Washington, and which plays its home games at the 3,000-capacity Sport Central arena at Northumbria University (in Newcastle).

One of the league's most successful teams, the Eagles were crowned BBL Champions for the first time in 2006.
