Mark Haddon

Award-winning English author and poet from Northampton, best known as the writer of hit 2003 novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

'The Curious Incident' won the Whitbread Book Awards for Best Novel and Book of the Year and is much loved for its use of the first-person perspective of Christopher John Francis Boone, a 15 year old from Swindon with Asperger syndrome. It was Haddon's first book aimed at an adult audience after the publication of more than a dozen children's or youth titles.
