Five-piece indie-folk and rock outfit from Leeds, formed in late 2011 by brothers Stuart and Matthew Wright, along with Richard Denby.

As the name might suggest, We Were Frontiers are influenced by old Western movies and the music of Ennio Morricone. Other influences include Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Fleetwood Mac, Echo and the Bunnymen and Creedence Clearwater Revival.
