British melodic hard rock outfit formed in 1981 by Reuben Archer and Laurence Archer. Stampede broke up in 1983 with guitarist Laurence Archer going on to play with UFO and Phil Lynott's Grand Slam.

Stampede reformed in 2009, releasing a new studio album, 'A Sudden Impulse', their second, in 2011.
