The Incredible String Band were a British psychedelic folk band formed by Clive Palmer, Robin Williamson and Mike Heron in Edinburgh in 1966. The band split and reformed on numerous occasions, the last being in 2003.
They released their debut album, "The Incredible String Band" in 1966, followed by: "The 5000 Spirits or the Layers of the Onion" (1967), "Wee Tam and the Big Huge" (1968), "The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter" (1968), "Changing Horses" (1969), "U" (1970), "I Looked Up" (1970), "Liquid Acrobat as Regards the Air" (1971), "Be Glad for the Song Has No Ending" (1971), "Earthspan" (1972), "No Ruinous Feud" (1973), plus 1974's: "Hard Rope & Silken Twine".
