The first International Festival of Country Music was held at Wembley Arena in 1969 and attracted some of the genre's biggest stars to a one-day showcase.

Two decades after the last festival in 1991, 2012 saw the event return, featuring Reba McEntire, Asleep At The Wheel, Ricky Skaggs, Lonestar and more.
