American political satirist, writer, TV host and stand-up comedian, best known as the host of Comedy Central's 'The Daily Show'.

After starting out as a stand-up, Stewart went on to earn a fearsome reputation for his cutting satires of US political culture and the politicised media.

He has co-authored a number of books and hosted the 78th and 80th Academy Awards.
