The Exe Factor 2012, Exmouth Festival's showcase for young bands and musicians, will be run in a new format. There will be three heats, in February, March and April. Four acts will play in each heat, with the winners going forward to a final on May 25th. There will be a fourth place in the final for the winners of an audience vote taken across the three heats. Entry is open to bands, individuals and vocal harmony groups. All members should be aged between 14 and 25. At least one member should be resident in East Devon or Exeter. They should be able to perform a 20 minute set including at least two original tracks and at least one cover. Selection of 12 entries will be based on listening to a maximum of three tracks either on line or submitted on tape or CD. Please contact Carla at Exmouth Town Hall for an application pack. These will be sent out early in the new year, with a closing date for entries of January 20th. The line ups for the heats will be announced on February 2nd. The organisers will be recruiting a team of volunteers to help with artwork, social media promotion, and with helping the event run smoothly on the nights.
