Push formed in 1987 and pioneered the London 'Rare Groove' scene along with bands such as The Brand New Heavies, The Young Disciples and Soul II Soul.

The band has been an in-demand rhythm section ever since, releasing their own acid jazz records and working with many of the industry's big names, including Seal, Paul Weller and Candi Staton.
