Son of Eagle were formed in 2009 by Derbyshire-based musicians Benjamin Edmonds and Dean Collier, whom were later joined by viola player Sarah Lloyd, bassist Phil Thompson and drummer Liam Walker.

Beautiful harmonies build from bittersweet strings and sparkling guitar accompaniment give way to deep heartfelt lyrics, finely layered through Ben's perfect vocal. Every song differentiates from the next, demonstrating the beauty of Son Of Eagle's breadth and exploration of their own sound whilst nestling gently among contemporaries such as Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes. They released their first EP 'Take Me Back' in 2011, and have featured on BBC Introducing as well as a number of local BBC stations.
