[1943 - 2017] Johnny Hallyday was a French singer and actor, sometimes referred to as the 'French Elvis Presley', who, with his wife of 15 years, Sylvie Vaartan, formed a golden couple of the sixties and seventies in continental Europe.

He completed 181 tours, had 18 platinum albums, and sold more than 110 million records. Having retired in 2009, he announced his comeback in 2011.
