Louis: Louis Armstrong, Charlie Chaplin and the Birth of Jazz

"Louis" is a brand new silent film, with live music written by Wynton Marsalis.

"The streets of New Orleans provide an evocative backdrop as a young Louis Armstrong navigates the colourful intricacies of life in the quintessential jazz city.

Marsalis' score is played live by a hand-picked ensemble of some of his closest associates, including saxophonist Wes Anderson, pianist Cyrus Chestnut and drummer Herlin Riley, brought together under the direction of trombonist Wycliffe Gordon, all contributing a spirited counterpoint to director Dan Pritzker's stunning Chaplin-inspired movie."

This event is not suitable for children.
