Emir Kusturica is a Serbian filmmaker, actor and musician, and two-time winner of the Palme d'Or at Cannes.

In the 1980s he played guitar with the Serbian band Zabranjeno Pušenje, which changed its name to Emir Kusturica & No Smoking Orchestra ('Zabranjeno Pušenje' is Serbo-Croatian for 'no smoking').

Their debut album was 1984's 'Das ist Walter'.
