Writer and former football hooligan who was part of West Ham United's notorious Inter City Firm in the 1970s. Arrested and imprisoned for his crimes, Pennant later began writing having been close to death following a nightclub shooting.

His autobiography, 'Cass', was published in 2002, and he has since worked as a consultant for television and film projects about football-related violence.
