Doris Day

[1922 - 2019] Doris Day was an established, award-winning American singer, actress and animal-rights campaigner, born in 1924.

She began her career in 1940 and scored her first hit-song with "Sentimental Journey". Other familiar songs include "Secret Love", "It's Magic", "Move Over Darling", "Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)", "Bewitched" and "Everybody Loves A Lover".

Her key films, often light-hearted comedies or musicals, include "Calamity Jane", "Annie Get Your Gun", "Pillow Talk", "Young at Heart", "The Pajama Game", "That Touch Of Mink", "Move Over, Darling" and "Send Me No Flowers".
