London-based post-punk and scratch-rock band formed in the late 70s.

Key members include the late Ari-Up, Viv Albertine, Palmolive, Tessa Pollitt and later on, Budgie (Creatures and Siousxie).

Their "Cut" album is considered to be a landmark fusion of punk and dub, partly due to Dennis Bovell's hybrid production.

Ari-Up was also a member of ON-U Sound act, New Age Steppers.
