Cabaret Voltaire

Sheffield-based electro and post-punk outfit, formed in 1973 (until 1994), comprised of Chris Watson, Richard H.Kirk and Stephen Mallinder.

Cited as hugely influential during the 70s and 80s, their early recordings were often quoted as part of the Industrial scene.

Key tracks include "Nag Nag Nag", "Sensoria", "Sluggin Fer Jesus", "Gut Level", "Crackdown", "Yashar" and "Ghostalk". Albums range from Mix Up, Voice of America, 2x45, The Crackdown, Plasticity and The Conversation.

Richard H.Kirk passed away in 2021 after issuing several new records under the CV moniker.
