Soul singer and producer from the 60s/70s.
He fronted The Impressions as Curtis Mayfield's replacement, before going solo and recording a string of respected albums in the 70s, including "The Man!" and "Feel The Spirit".
He co-wrote the hit "The Ghetto" with Donny Hathaway as well as producing work by Roberta Flack, The Natural Four and Voices Of East Harlem.
