The Typist is a play by award-winning playwright (and former soho table dancer) Rebecca Lenkiewicz.

"Mary Parks, an artist and photographer, has lost her sight. Wanting to transcribe her writings and thoughts, she employs a young Muslim boy, Fit, to type up her notes. The ensuing visits forge a strange relationship. When Parks shocks Fit with a request that he finds dark and repellent, his attachment to her makes it impossible to simply run away."
