Liverpudlian alternative/new wave pop band formed in 1980, featuring Paul Simpson (vocals/bass), Ged Quinn (keyboards), Mike Mooney (guitar), Ricky Rene Maymi (bass/electric 12 string guitar) and Steve Beswick (drums). They have split and reformed a few times, as well as performing in the bands Care and The Lotus Eaters. Previous contributors have included Ian McNabb and members of Echo and the Bunnymen and The Woodentops.

Early days saw them appear on the Zoo label (based in Liverpool) and issue the Peel favourite "Revolutionary Spirit". After reforming in 1986, they released the album "Bringing Home The Ashes" (1988) and the singles "Young Manhood" and "Bible Dreams".

The band reformed again in 2009 and issued the single "English Electric Lightning".
