ECM (Edition of Contemporary Music) is a record label founded in Munich in 1969, famous for its many avant garde jazz recordings.

The artists synonymous with ECM include: Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Jan Garbarek, Pat Metheny (early), John Abercrombie, Ralph Towner, Charlie Haden, Dave Holland and the Art Ensemble of Chicago.
