[1938 - 2016] Sir Terry Wogan was a legendary Irish broadcaster who was "the most listened to broadcaster in Europe" with his Radio 2 "Wake Up to Wogan" Breakfast Show from which he retired in 2009.

He originally presented his breakfast show on Radio 2 from 1972 to 1984 before turning to hosting TV chat-shows and game-shows.

He worked tirelessly for BBC's fund-raising event, "Children In Need" and was knighted in 2005.
