Inherit the Wind is a play that fictionalizes the 1925 Scopes "Monkey" Trial, written by Jerome Lawrence and Robert Edwin Lee. The play first debuted in 1955.

The 2009 Old Vic performance featured Kevin Spacey in the lead and will be directed by Trevor Nunn.
