The Electric Pop Group was formed in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2005 by brothers Martin and Erik Aamot,

both writing songs, singing and playing guitar, and Linnéa Nilsson, playing keyboards.

Their influences include British bands like The Stone Roses, The Smiths, The Jesus & Mary Chain etc. and Swedish indie bands like Sambassadeur and Broder Daniel.
