JJ Cale

[1938 - 2013] Late Grammy Award-winning American acoustic and electric roots songwriter and musician, best known for writing Eric Clapton's famous hits "After Midnight" and "Cocaine" and having his "Call Me The Breeze" adapted by Spiritualized on their hit "Run".

His other important releases include the albums "Naturally", "Really" and "Grasshopper".

Cale's last recordings include the 2009 solo album "Roll On" and his guitar work with Eric Clapton on the latter's 2013 set, "Old Sock".
