- Maggie's End
"It's summer 2010 and the temperature is rising in every sense. The death of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher has resurrected the bitter divides of the 1980s. Half the country mourns while the other half celebrates with undisguised glee. However, when the newly-crowned Labour Prime Minister announces a state funeral for the late PM, a sense of outrage grips those communities worst affected by the Thatcher years and brings the political differences in one family to breaking point.
Maggie's End is a dynamic and controversial black comedy about personal and political betrayal by Ed Waugh and Trevor Wood - the writers of the international hit plays 'Dirty Dusting' and 'Waiting For Gateaux'.
