Hussein Chalayan is an internationally renowned fashion designer and artist. Leading the forefront of contemporary fashion design, the twice named 'British Designer of the Year,' Hussein Chalayan, is renowned for his innovative use of materials, meticulous pattern cutting and progressive attitudes to new technology.

Hussein has designed costumes for Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui's "Faun", Michael Clark's "current/SEE" and Sasha Waltz & Guests' "Passion with Pascal Dusapin".

In 2015 the designer produced his first theatrical piece, "Gravity Fatigue" at Sadler's Wells in London, working with award-winning choreographer Damien Jalet (Babel), Yeast Culture's Nick Hillel, sound illustrators Mode-F and lighting designer Natasha Chivers.
