[1930 - 2013] Bobby Bland was an American blues and soul singer/ songwriter AKA Robert Calvin Bland. Inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 and awarded a 'Lifetime Achievement' Grammy in 1997.

His discography since 1961 includes the albums "Two Steps from the Blues", "His California Album" and "Spotlighting The Man". Bland scored US R&B #1 hits with "Farther Up the Road", "I Pity the Fool" and "That's the Way Love Is".
