Harold Melvin's Bluenotes
Harold Melvin's Bluenotes are the Philadelphia soul band best known as "Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes", formerly known as the Charlemagnes in the 50s, and previously led by the late, great, Teddy Pendergrass.
The band came to prominence with a string of hits for Gamble and Huff in the 70s, including Don't Leave me This Way, If You Don't Know Me By Now and Wake Up Everybody.
The former lead singer, the late Teddy Pendergrass went on to have a massive solo career.
