[1942 - 2021] Gerry Marsden was the lead singer of '60s Liverpool pop-outfit Gerry and the Pacemakers.
He wrote their hit "Ferry 'Cross the Mersey" and also released several solo singles from "Please Let Them Be" in 1967 to "The Rose" in 1988.
