A 1949 Broadway musical by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein about an American nurse at a US Naval base during World War II, who falls in love with an expatriate French plantation owner with a dark past.

The legendary score includes the songs 'Bali Ha'i', 'Younger than Springtime' and 'Some Enchanted Evening'.

For 2022, the critically acclaimed Chichester Festival Theatre production will tour the UK and Ireland, playing Sadler's Wells in London and Bord Gais in Dublin.
