Tony Bennett

[1926 - 2023] Tony Bennett was an award-winning and influential crooner and lounge-jazz singer from New York who was performing since the late '40s.

He made his name with the evergreen ballad, 'I Left My Heart In San Francisco'.

His other hits include 'Stranger In Paradise', 'The Good Life' and 'The Very Thought Of You' although he has released dozens of million-selling albums since the 50s.

He has worked with countless jazz stars including Bill Evans, Art Blakey and Count Basie.

In 2010/11, he duetted with Amy Winehouse ("Body and Soul") and Lady Gaga ("The Lady Is A Tramp") and once again with Lady Gaga in 2014 for the album "Cheek to Cheek".
