[1935 - 2007] Luciano Pavarotti is a late Italian tenor, who was propelled beyond the realm of an operatic audience with the 1990 world cup in Italy, where, as one of the famed "Three Tenors" he performed Puccini's 'Nessun Dorma' on the eve of the final game of a tournament which had adopted the song as it's anthem.
