Foster & Allen

Foster & Allen

Irish easy-listening duo comprised of Mick Foster and Tony Allen and active since 1975.

They scored a hit with the song 'A Bunch Of Thyme' in 1978 (in Ireland), with the same song finally reaching similar success in the UK in 1982.

Other key songs have included 'Maggie' and 'Old Flames'.

During their heyday, the pair released over a dozen VHS tapes of them performing gentle standards in scenic locations, prompting Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer to form the spoof act, Mulligan and O'Hare.
