Alex Dowding

After fronting several Rock n Roll, Folk, grassroot blues bands in London in his early career Dowding soon was drafted in as bass player for Nu-Gaze band 'Televise' fronted by Simon Scott - ex 'Slowdive', 'Innersleeve'.

Televise released one album 'Songs to Sing in A&E' in 2006 along with two singles 'Outside Out' and 'Don't Know Why' on indie label Clun AC30. In 2007, however, the band split and Scott continued to record as a solo artist.

Dowding soon re-invented himself as an uptempo, melancholic acoustic troubadour under the name of Balthazar B. Now with a full band in tow known as the Beatitudes gigging and recording are now to take place beginning 2008.
