British saxophonist, trumpeter and percussionist from Plymouth who co-founded the Monty Sunshine Band in 1960, later becoming a member of the Dutch Swing College Band for over four years (as lead trumpeter).

As well as his solo work, Rod also leads the Rod Mason & Jim Mullen Quartet.
