The The World Class Wrecking Cru were an electro group formed in the late '70s, featuring Shakespeare, Dr. Dre, Dr. Rock, Cli-N-Tel, Michel'le, DJ Yella, DJ Alonzo Williams and Mona Lisa.

They released their debut album "World Class" in 1985, followed by "Rapped in Romance" in 1986.

In the UK, the band came to prominence with the release of Street Sounds Electro 9, containing the song "World Class".
