Ricky Gervais Supernature warm-ups announced

London socially-distanced shows continue apace, arena dates still available. Intimate Manchester and Tunbridge Wells dates added prior to the arena tour.
Ricky Gervais

Pre-empting his sixth major touring comedy show, BAFTA-winning writer Ricky Gervais has been steadily announcing warm-ups for Supernature during the past few weeks. Designed to offer fans a taster for the bigger arena dates set to start in Leeds in August, followed by London, Dublin etc in the autumn*.

Gervais's star has been burning so very very brightly during the Covid lockdown - engaging with humanitarian social-media posts, supporting animals and shaming acts of cruelty, plus the success of poignant hit TV series Afterlife have helped the former pop singer become one of the world's most successful yet personable performers.

With lockdown coming to an end (of sorts), The O2 Forum in London will host another Supernature warm-up on now with tickets set to go on sale in limited numbers on now. Don't be surprised if he announces more in the run up the Leeds show in mid-August.

Production on the third series of Afterlife has now been completed and is due to be aired by Netflix in due course.

Update

We said not to be surprised if more, intimate Supernature shows were announced prior to the arena tour, and four more shows have now been added: two at Manchester's O2 Apollo and two at the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells from 9th to 19th August 2021. Tickets on sale now.
