It's a great week for fans of established pop stars, rock bands and comedians. Justin Timberlake and Taylor Swift have announced 2014 shows, as indeed have Bury's award-winning Elbow who will promote their sixth album in the spring.

Heavyweights The Stranglers, Fall Out Boy and Echo and the Bunnymen return with big dates while newcomers Haim and Yuck are short on names but big on concerts.

Laughable tours have been planned by comedians Jimmy Carr and Lee Mack, making this week a reason to be cheerful.
