It's fair to say that, commercially speaking, the mainstream's interest in electronic dance music is looking (and sounding) healthier than ever. With rave, techno, drum and bass, dubstep and grime all enjoying varying degrees of crossover success, the UK scene is brimming with acts committed to the club-scene right now.

Sub Focus is one such act. After providing drum and bass behemoths Ram with a few minor hits just a few years ago, as well as a minor hit album with his eponymous self-titled effort in 2009, one Nick Douwma is setting his sights on bigger things. He's recently been a regular in chart run-downs with hits such as "Out The Blue" and "Tidal Wave", both issued last year.

For 2013, it's all about the second and long-anticipated album. "Torus" has been in the pipeline for a while now and will finally see the light of day in September. It will feature those recent hit-singles, as well as the dubstep-inspired Top 10 smash "Endorphins" (featuring Alex Clare, no stranger to hits himself).

To support the album, Sub Focus will embark on a fair-sized tour in the autumn, following up his earlier summer festival slots at Leeds, Reading, Shakedown and Electric Daisy Carnival. Stops include Bristol on 16th October, followed by Manchester, Portsmouth, London and many more until Glasgow on 29th October.

Tickets are on sale now, priced from around £14.50 upwards.
