Concept albums used to have most people begging for mercy, some forty years ago but nowadays, they're cool. In fact, as proof, the latest instigators of the concept album phenomena, 30 Seconds to Mars, are very proud of their version.
Based upon the themes in its title, "Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams" pretty much covers all emotional bases worth writing and singing about and marks the band's fourth studio album since forming in the late '90s. Jared Leto's charges have scored their first ever UK top 5 album with it but have yet to tour it since its May 2013 release - that's all about to change.
November will see the band embark on a huge arena tour, starting in Cardiff on the 14th, followed by Birmingham on 15th and several more large cities, including London and Dublin, until Belfast on 26th November. Joining them as support are You Me at Six, another act more than capable of ensuring that you turn up early for these shows.
Tickets are on sale now, priced from £29.50 upwards. As you'd expect, demand will be massive for a band that hasn't toured since 2010. If you saw them at Download last weekend, you'll no doubt want another slice of them anyway!
Prior to their end-of-year visit, 30 Seconds to Mars will form part of the huge iTunes Festival London line-up - they will perform on 18th September and tickets can be won by clicking on the event below.
