Perhaps one of Britain's fastest-selling artists has announced his first proper UK tour since 2010. Although Paul Weller is performing numerous shows across the country this year, a traditional tour hasn't been on the agenda - until now.
Although the "Sonik Kicks" creator and Jam icon has a date at the Isle of Wight Festival on Friday (14th June), two exclusive warm-ups in Southampton and Brighton (sold out), a slot with Kasabian at this year's Hard Rock Calling (still available), plus a stream of outdoor headliners at Kew The Music, regional Forestry Commission Live Music 2013 gigs and a huge Edinburgh Castle show on 21st July, demand for Weller concerts is outstripping supply - or rather, was.
The new dates will take place in the autumn and include stops in Glasgow on 7th October, then rare shows in Dundee, Carlisle, Preston, Manchester, Doncaster and more throughout October, including Hammersmith on the 19th.
Tickets are available right now on pre-sale, priced from £37.50 upwards. You can expect huge demand for these shows, some of which are taking place in towns you wouldn't normally see big acts such as Weller, such as Guildford, the nearest he can get to a home-town show!
