Posted: 10 years ago
Rose Royce, Crown Heights Affair, The Sugarhill Gang, Fonda Rae, DJ Chad Jackson and more to perform at the huge London bash

Still going strong after over 30 years in the business, legendary UK soul/ electro label and brand Street Sounds will host their second party at the Coronet after their November 2012 30th anniversary and the 2011 UK Fresh reunion at Scala.

The Coronet Theatre will welcome back founder Morgan Khan plus DJ hosts Andy Smith and Peter P and live acts, more DJs, competitions and a whole lot more for the Street Sounds Summer Ball 2013. The date to remember is 22nd June.

Musically this means old school funk, soul, disco, hip-hop, reggae and all manner of classic '80s tunes. And those classics will come from Rose Royce with a full live show lasting over an hour and sure to be packed with classics like: "Car Wash", "Wishing On A Star", "Is It Love You're After" and "Love Don't Live Here Anymore".

Straight out of the funk and disco traps will come Crown Heights Affair who will perform an hour of belters such as "Galaxy of Love" and "Far Out", while The Sugarhill Gang will show why they remain pioneers of hip-hop with "Rapper's Delight" and "8th Wonder" and '80s soul-diva Fonda Rae will entertain with "Tuch Me" and more. Add in DJ action from DMC champion DJ Chad Jackson and a host of others and you have quite a night. Tickets are on sale now, priced from £46.50 (£52.31 inc. fees) and one lucky person has bagged themselves a pair of tickets to get in for free in our recent competition!

And the winner is... Coco Briden from London.
