Fat Friday: Beyoncé, Sigur Rós, The Courteeners, Stornoway, Alexandra Burke and more

Beyoncé

Taking place at Twickenham Stadium on 1st June is this huge arena show in aid of Chime for Change (www.chimeforchange.org). Beyonce will headline the event with support from Florence + the Machine, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, John Legend, Timbaland, Haim and Iggy Azalea. Tickets on sale now from £55.

Sigur Rós

In light of their obvious pulling-power, SigurRós have announced their biggest tour to date including stops in Dublin, Nottingham, Brighton and Wembley arenas, all during November. Prices start at £25.

The Courteeners

Keeping it local for the summer are Manchester's Courteeners who have announced two shows at Castlefield Basin in July. On the 5th, Miles Kane will support (with others) while the 6th will see Findlay back them up.

Miles Kane

As well as supporting The Courteeners on their double-date spectacular in Manchester during July (see above), Kane is headlining shows throughout the year, including Bath on 12th May and Bedford on 11th June (TICKETS: 05/4/2013].

Stornoway

After scoring a second Top 30 album, Stornoway will see out the year with another UK tour starting in Bristol on 23rd November and continuing to Birmingham, Nottingham, etc. until Cambridge on 1st December, priced from £14. There are likely to be more shows announced.

The Killers have announced a massive Dublin date in Phoenix Park this July as part of their European schedule. The date to remember is Saturday 13th July. Frank Ocean will support and tickets cost €61.50.

Alexandra Burke

Presumably spreading her wings away from just pop-music, Burke has confirmed a 5-night residency at the Royal Albert Hall in June. Billed as Lady Sings the Blues, Burke will perform classic Billie Holiday songs with tickets on sale now, priced at £37.50.

The Big Reunion Tour

Christmas will see B*Witched, Liberty X, Five, Honeyz and 911 return for festive shows in Birmingham on 12th December, followed by Sheffield, London and Manchester. Tickets on sale tomorrow, with prices starting at around the £34 mark - Atomic Kitten have yet to be confirmed.

Steven Wilson

Porcupine Tree frontman Wilson has a string of shows lined up for the autumn, starting with Bristol on 15th October, followed by Wolverhampton, Newcastle and the Royal Albert Hall on the 20th. From £19.50 to £25.

Lewis Watson

After supporting Benjamin Francis Leftwich on his upcoming May tour and playing festivals, Watson has set his sights on a lengthy UK tour. The first stop is Swansea on 1st June, followed by Newport, Liverpool, Carlisle and loads more until Colchester on 21st, priced from under a tenner.

The South

After issuing the acclaimed album "Sweet Refrain" in 2012, The South look to the future with a supporting tour in the autumn, starting with Tavistock on 4th October, followed by stops in Cardiff, Islington, Clitheroe and more - from £20 upwards.

Bo Bruce

One of the finalists from 2012's The Voice on the BBC, Bruce will embark on her first ever full tour in the summer with shows in Bristol (on sale Friday), Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham, etc. until London on 26th June. From £10 upwards.

Hawkwind

are already gearing up for shows in April - in addition the band have confirmed two additional shows in August, namely Bournemouth on the 23rd and Shepherd's Bush on the 24th. Tickets on sale now, except for London which is on sale Thursday at 9.30am.

Deacon Blue

Expect a huge partisan crowd at Deacon Blue's Christmas show in Glasgow on 20th December, the concluding date on their winter UK tour. Tickets for this Hydro show cost £30 - all other shows are on sale now at various prices.

Gun

Also performing a home-coming show in Scotland are the ever-popular Gun who will perform a one-off (so far) gig at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut on 29th May. Tickets are sure to fly at £15.

Devendra Banhart

Prior to the singer/ songrwiter's UK summer shindig, Devendra will now play a date at the Button Factory in Dublin's Temple Bar area on 26th June. Tickets for the UK dates are still available. Tickets for Dublin will cost €19.90.

The Boxer Rebellion

Their show at London's Forum on 11th October is their first big show since 2011 and is sure to sell out. A new album later in the year will no doubt create further interest with tickets on sale for £14. More dates may be announced in due course.
