Recently we held a competition to win one of five CD versions of boogie-woogie champion Jools Holland's latest chart-hugging album, "The Golden Age of Song". If you missed it, too bad - it's finished and we've already picked our winners!

They are: Dave Guy from Ripley, Lisa Wilkinson from Hull, Stuart Dunlop from Pembrokeshire, Patrick McGahon from Cambridge and Imman Sofia Mohd Burhan from Edinburgh.

It's a cracking album, jam-packed with top standards and modern classics performed with special guests such as Paloma Faith, Joss Stone, Paul Weller, Mick Hucknall, Jessie J, Tom Jones, Florence Welch, Caro Emerald, Cee-Lo Green and Ruby Turner to name but a few. The album was issued late last year and sold enough to reach the Top 20 with consummate ease.

Jools Holland and his Rhythm 'n Blues Orchestra will be performing excerpts from this and his other albums during 2013 (tickets still available for some shows), ranging from spring dates in Skegness, Wolverhampton etc, festival slots at Hampton Court Palace Festival 2013, Brecon Jazz Festival 2013, Ludlow Arts Festival 2013, and an extensive autumn/ winter tour until Christmas.
